YD-1Operation method:
1. Turn on the power switch and prepare the sample according to GB/T15687
2. Place the asbestos board on top of the electric furnace, then place a clean oil cup and adjust the probe height to about 6.35mm from the bottom of the cup.
3. Carefully place the oil sample into the oil cup, ensuring that the liquid level is level with the sample line.
4. Connect the electric furnace power supply and adjust the position of the device so that the spotlight beam passes through the center of the oil cup mouth. And turn on the rotary switch of the electric furnace. (At this time, the electric furnace is not heating up)
5. The lower part of the instrument head displays the set value of the sample smoke point. Press the selector key, and a certain number will be particularly bright. Press the selector key again, and the particularly bright number will move to the left; Press the up key, and the number that is particularly bright will increase by 1. Press the up key again, and the number that is particularly bright will increase by 1; By continuously combining operations, the set value of the sample smoke point can be achieved.
The upper display of the instrument head shows the current temperature of the oil sample. Press the heating/locking button to start heating the electric furnace, and the heating indicator light (red) will light up. When the oil sample temperature reaches 42 ℃ before the set smoke point, the instrument will automatically control the heating rate.
7. When a small amount of continuous blue smoke is emitted from the sample, press the heating/locking button. The upper display of the instrument head will be the smoke point and remain unchanged for 5 minutes. The electric furnace will stop heating, and the heating indicator light (red) will turn off, while the locking indicator light (green) will turn on.
Before the sample starts to emit smoke continuously, a slight smoke appears, which can be ignored. If it is mistakenly identified as a smoke point and the heating/locking button has been pressed, press the heating/locking button again and the instrument will continue to heat until the actual smoke point appears.
8. The allowable difference for double testing is ≤ 2 ℃, and the average is the measurement result, which is taken as an integer.
At the end of the experiment, when taking the oil cup, it is necessary to use a crucible clamp to prevent burns. The temperature of the oil cup is very high, and it should be washed with water after cooling, otherwise the hot oil will explode and injure people when it comes into contact with water.
10. After the electric furnace cools down, use clean paper to wipe the thermometer and temperature probe clean.
